PAINTPaint Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Account data. Your email address and username when you create an account, or the identifier Apple provides if you use Sign in with Apple. You can browse most of Paint without an account.
- App activity. Your favorite teams and players, rooting rules, games you mark as watched, predictions, game chat messages and in-app events, used to run the product and improve it.
- Purchases. Subscriptions and coin purchases are processed by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat. We never see or store your payment details.
- Notifications. If you allow push notifications, we store a device token to send the alerts you choose (for example, scores for your teams).
- Analytics. We use analytics and attribution tools to understand which features are used and how people find Paint. They receive general device information and in-app events, not your payment details.
- Location (optional). Only for features that ask for it, only while the app is open, and only if you allow it. Location is not stored beyond the feature that used it and is never sold.
- Advertising data. Paint may show ads. Our advertising partners may process your device's advertising identifier (on iOS only if you allow tracking when asked), IP address and general device information to serve ads, measure them and limit how often you see the same one.
- Waitlist. If you join the waitlist on paintbasketball.com, we store your email address to tell you when Paint launches.
Advertising
Ads in Paint are delivered through Appodeal, a mediation service that works with multiple ad networks. Those partners process the advertising data described above under their own policies; see the Appodeal privacy policy, which lists its demand partners. On iOS, ads only use your advertising identifier if you allow tracking when the app asks (you can change this any time in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking). In the European Economic Area and the UK you will be asked for consent before any personalized ads are shown, and you can decline. Subscribers see fewer ad surfaces.
Game chat
Messages you post in game chat are visible to other Paint users. Do not post personal information. We may remove messages and suspend accounts that break our terms.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. Outside of the ad serving described above, we do not share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account in the app (Profile, Settings, Delete Account) or by emailing us. Deletion removes your account data from our systems.
Children
Paint is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
